Sat Jul 05 13:30:46 GMT 2014
Working to support Professor Andrew Hoskins on his AHRC Research
Fellowship: ‘Technologies of memory and archival regimes: War diaries
before and after the connective turn', the Research Assistant/Associate
will be based at The National Archives, Kew to undertake a six month
full-time investigation of the impact of digital change on the cultural
memory practices and the 'official' record of the British Army's unit
operational reports ('war diaries’).
The post holder will conduct an ethnography (oral history interviews,
public interviews, on-site observations) of the organisational memory of
TNA focused on diary archives, and a comparative linguistic profiling of
the content of diaries.
