Topic 1 - Stakeholder relations in the management of festivals and
cultural organizations [BUR14-03] The project will be focused on key
organizations with which the Division has a developing
relationship such as the Festival Fringe Society and Creative Scotland.
The bursar will also be involved in working with staff to establish a
smaller festivals network and related projects. The project will be
inter-disciplinary crossing public relations, arts management, cultural
policy, festivals, and will entail the development of new and existing
partnerships.

Topic 2 - Centre for Dialogue project on engagement encompassing policy
and governance [BUR14-04]
The project will explore questions around the diffusion of public
engagement understood as expert communication practices in order to
explore governance in a range of possible fields e.g. health, energy and
science. The bursar will build on previous work (under the Centre for
Dialogue) on diffusion of expert discourses (dialogue as fashion, dialogue
as science policy).
