[ecrea] fully funded PhD Studentship in Media & Communication at Leicester

The Department of Media & Communication at the University of Leicester 
is offering a fully funded PhD studentship in the area of Mediated 
Public Participation. This studentship will support the development of a 
new research group in the Department - the Media and Democracy Group - 
which brings together academics working on political communication in 
both traditional and digital media.

A key development in the area of political communication is, following 
developments in the political theory of deliberation, an analysis of the 
affordances that media provide opportunities for political engagement 
and participation. This studentship will provide a vehicle for 
collaboration and enhance the Media and Democracy research group.

We welcome applications from suitably qualified applicants who can show 
evidence of an interest in this area and a viable research proposal.
