The University of Texas at Austin Department of Radio-Television-Film 
seeks to fill a faculty position in media studies at the rank of 
assistant or associate professor, beginning Fall 2014. We are interested 
in applicants who bring a critical focus to the study of media 
industries, media history, global media, and/or digital media (gaming, 
social media, mobile media, design). Scholars whose work addresses 
issues of identity, representation (gender and sexuality, race and 
ethnicity), audiences and reception are especially encouraged to apply. 
A Ph.D. in media studies or a related field is preferred, with a strong 
record in publishing and teaching, and with experience supervising 
advanced graduate and undergraduate students.  Salary commensurate with 
experience. We will begin reviewing applications on November 25, 2013,
