Lecturer Grade £31,020 - £35,939 pa

The Department of Communication and Media wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Digital Communication and Culture. Applicants with expertise in areas such as on-line safety, privacy and trust,  the changing character of democracy in the ‘new media’ era or the changing nature of audiences for traditional film and media products are especially welcome, but those with teaching and research interests in other areas of new media and communication are also welcome to apply. The post entails particular responsibility for teaching and syllabus development in digital communication and culture at undergraduate, MA and PhD levels. You will have a PhD and strong record of published research of demonstrable excellence with, ideally, an international profile. You will be able to offer teaching in areas relevant to the Department’s current undergraduate and postgraduate provision and to develop new modules as appropriate. This a permanent post.
