Assistant professor, tenure-track position in the Communication,
Culture and Technology (CCT) Masters program at Georgetown
University. examining the relationship between cultural history and
new communication technology. Candidates’ research areas should
include, but are not limited to, critical studies of media
technologies (including cinema, television, video, publishing and
print culture, electronic communication), language analysis,
material culture, race, class, sex/gender and national identity.
Applicants should have a solid record of scholarly publication and
teaching. They should be prepared to advise students on their
academic program and to mentor MA thesis projects.
CCT is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on the ways that
new technologies of communication and digital media are reshaping
human experience on all levels from local to global, and how these
technologies are redefining the practice of science, research,
education, government, media, business, and culture and the arts.
Faculty members are expected to contribute broadly to the
interdisciplinary research and teaching of the program.

framework, global deliberations, diplomacy, development,
