Post-doc Research Fellow Position at the Institute for Research on Children,
Youth and Family

Masaryk University, Brno, the Czech Republic is accepting applications for
two Post-Doctoral Research Fellow positions for up to three years, beginning
September 1, 2012. The successful candidate will work at well established
Institute for Research on Children, Youth and Family, Faculty of Social
Studies, Masaryk University,http://www.muni.cz/fss/235200

The fellow will lead an independent research and will also collaborate in
ongoing projects. He/she should teach one or two courses per semester, but
his/her main focus will be on carrying out research. The ideal research
background should be in media studies, communication or also psychology.

The first post-doctoral position is targeted specifically to applicants with
strong expertise in the field of research on internet and cyberspace
(including online risks for children and adolescents, addictive online
behavior, online relationships and sexuality in the virtual environment).

The second post-doctoral position is targeted to applicants with strong
expertise in the field of psychosocial development of adolescents and young
(emerging) adults (including topics such as  self, identity, personal
autonomy,  interpersonal relationships, civic and political participation).

The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow is offered a salary 50 000 - 55 000 CZK
per month, which in Czech conditions, covers very reasonable housing and any
other expenses one might have.

Applicants, who are interested in the position and received the Ph.D. after
March 28, 2008,  are requested to send their detailed CVs and personal
statements, citing and explaining major accomplishments in research, as well
as two letters of recommendation. Deadline for applications: March 31, 2012.
