The School of Communications at Webster University invites applications to
join our leadership team as Associate Dean. Primary responsibilities will
include oversight of academic programs and activities, including student
services (advising, internships, portfolio review, and student media), as
well as working with department chairs, faculty, and staff on curriculum
assessment, revision, and innovation. The associate dean will represent the
School and the Dean on selected university committees, work on special
projects and reports, and serve as a senior advisor to the Dean.

We invite candidates with innovative ideas about the future of
communication, an entrepreneurial spirit, a broad view of the field,
experience with the integration of theory and practice, and national or
international experience. Candidates must have a record of teaching success,
achievement in scholarship or creative activity, significant experience in
academic administration, experience with, or capacity for successful
supervision of personnel, a Ph.D. or MFA, and earned rank of associate or
full professor.

Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the
position is filled.
