About the role:
Our Faculty provides first class teaching, research and consultancy
relevant to professional activity in arts, law and social sciences. With
around 750 FTE students the Department is a major provider of
undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English, Film and Media. The
Department has a thriving research culture which achieved a significant
proportion of 3* and 4* outputs in RAE 2008.
We are seeking an exceptional individual capable of providing strategic
leadership for the Department. With a PhD or Professional Doctorate in
one of the Department’s disciplines, you will have a strong managerial
track record and a proven commitment to research. You will have
experience of developing and managing partnerships, both in the UK and
internationally, and the vision and passion to lead the Department
through the next stage of its development.
