>The research project will explore how television 
>addressed women in the period 1947-1989. The 
>central objective is to illuminate a largely 
>uncharted history of television produced for and 
>watched by women in Britain during a period of

>Working alongside a research fellow conducting 
>archival research and Dr Rachel Moseley and Dr 
>Helen Wheatley (University of Warwick), the 
>successful candidate will undertake oral history 
>research with women viewers of different 
>generations about their memories of television 
>and its role in their daily lives.
>You will have a background in media studies, 
>television studies, history or sociology, 
>preferably with an interest in gender and social
