Open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in Communication Studies


The Department of Communication Studies at Ben-Gurion University 
seeks qualified applicants (with a Ph.D. degree) for an open-rank, 
tenure-track faculty position, effective October 1, 2010.
The Department has a preference for candidates specializing in new 
media and new communication technologies, such as web-based social 
networks, computer-mediated communication, the digital divide, and 
applications of new media in public relations, marketing, and 
e-government. However, applicants specializing in other fields of 
media studies will also be considered.
Candidates for advanced ranks (Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, 
Professor) are expected to have an active research agenda and a 
record of publication in international, peer-reviewed journals 
commensurate with the rank they seek, and should also be able to 
provide evidence of effective teaching and of experience supervising 
graduate student research.
Candidates for an entry-level position should demonstrate the 
potential to produce publishable research and be able to teach at 
both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Only candidates with a command of Hebrew sufficient for teaching will 
be considered.
