VII -* *Voices of the voiceless: New challenges of mobilization and
citizen engagement*
Dear colleagues,
The Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (University of
Bucharest, Romania), the Association of Trainers in Journalism and
Communication (AFCOM) and the Lumière University Lyon 2 (France)
organise the 7^th edition of the international conference
* Understanding Transition. *This year the theme of the conference is
*Voices of the voiceless: New challenges of mobilization and citizen
engagement*. The conference will take place in September (11-12).
Presentations based on empirical research and on sound theoretical
approaches are invited on topics such as:
·Citizen engagement – analytical and methodological challenges
·Citizen journalism
·Digital activism
·Cyber-protests
·e-governance
·Public engagement
·Slacktivism
·Crowdsourcing
·New forms of organization-public relationship
·Corporate citizenship
·Social media crisis/ paracrises
·New media as a device for education in citizenship
·Any other topic related to the main theme of the conference.
*The conference languages are English and French.*
