>A CCPR seminar on Images of the City, which will take place on 23 January 
>2004.  The seminar will focus on Glasgow and its experience as European 
>City of Culture 1990, and as such will include a presentation on the 
>CCPR's major research project into the long-term legacies of Glasgow 
>1990.  One of the most recurring issues surrounding Glasgow's year as City 
>of Culture was the manner in which the event might have helped transform 
>Glasgow's image, as perceived by tourists, potential investors, the media 
>and indeed by Glaswegians themselves.  This issue is prominent in 
>discourses surrounding the event, both at the time and subsequently.  As 
>such, the main purpose of this seminar is to review the evolution of
