[Commlist] Call for Contributions: AI and Crisis Communication Across Countries

How are AI and digital platforms changing the way organizations 
communicate during crises, and why does this transformation look 
different across countries?

We are inviting contributions to an international edited volume 
currently being proposed to Palgrave Macmillan:
"How AI and Platformization Reshape Crisis Communication Across Countries"

The volume will bring together scholars and industry practitioners from 
different countries to examine how AI, social media platforms, 
institutional environments, and national communication systems are 
reshaping crisis communication.

We welcome country-focused chapters addressing areas such as AI 
adoption, social media and platform dynamics, misinformation and 
verification, trust and human oversight, regulation and governance, and 
emerging crisis communication practices.

Contributions may be academic, practitioner-based, or mixed. Authors may 
draw on original research, case studies, industry data, documented 
professional experience, or other appropriate evidence. Each chapter 
should offer a clear insight into what is distinctive about its national 
context and what other countries may learn from it.

Expression of interest, please submit:
• Abstract: 250-400 words
• Author bio: 100-150 words per author
• Deadline: October 31, 2026
