Sat Aug 08 08:16:49 GMT 2026

We are very pleased to share with you a call for papers about a seminar on ‘Transnational Radio Drama and Narrative Podcasts' that will take place at the American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA) annual meeting next May in Houston, Texas.

We hope you will consider applying or sharing the call for papers with your networks. All proposals are due by 22 September. The seminar description and submission link can be found here:

https://www.acla.org/seminar/cb821e12-0518-406f-8470-2e295e4b7fc2 <https://www.acla.org/seminar/cb821e12-0518-406f-8470-2e295e4b7fc2>

Please note this additional information about the format, to clarify the last sentence of the call:

The goal of this seminar is to establish a research community of scholars working on radio drama and narrative podcasts across cultures. We are excited about the opportunity to meet in person but are aware that some may not be able to travel at this time. For this reason, we would like the seminar to span both the virtual and in-person parts of the conference. All applicants should submit to the in-person session, but please indicate in your abstract if you intend to travel to Houston for the in-person conference (May 20-23) or if you will only be able to attend the virtual dates (May 15-16).

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (ckita /at/ wustl.edu) <mailto:(ckita /at/ wustl.edu)> or (pim.verhulst /at/ vub.be) <mailto:(pim.verhulst /at/ vub.be)>.
