Hiring: Professor & Teaching Assistant – University of East London, 
Cairo Branch (EUE)
We are pleased to announce open faculty positions at the University of 
East London, Cairo Branch (EUE), and invite applications from 
non-Egyptian candidates who meet the criteria below.
Position Details
•     Start Date: 15 September 2025
•     Available Roles:   Teaching Assistant in Filmmaking
•     Field of Expertise: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Filmmaking, Media, 
or Mass Communication
•     Salary Range: $12,000–$20,000 per year (The university will cover 
accommodation and transportations).
•     Workload Distribution: Teaching (70%) and Academic Service (30%)
Requirements
•     Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Film, Editing, and 
History of Film
•     A Master’s degree (minimum) or Ph.D. in Film, Media, or Mass 
Communication
•     An active academic or creative practice in film and media studies
•     Capacity to teach two or three courses per term
Responsibilities
•     Teaching two classes per semester
•     Advising and mentoring students
•     Serving on committees to support the work of the University, 
College, or Department
•     Producing significant, high-quality scholarship in film and media
Preferred Qualifications
Special consideration will be given to applicants whose research and 
teaching engage with emerging theories and methodologies in the rapidly 
evolving areas of media and film.
