Fri Aug 01 10:34:34 GMT 2025
It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to submit proposals for
the *VII Congress on Literacy, Media and Citizenship*
<https://gilm.pt/congressolmc/>, organized by *GILM – Informal Group on
Media Literacy* <https://www.gilm.pt/>.
This year’s event will take place on *November 27th and 28th 2025*, at
the *Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra*, and
the theme of this edition is:
*"Behaviours, narratives and human rights."*
Once again, this Congress will offer an opportunity for informed
reflection, broadening perspectives, and sharing insights for the future
of media literacy.
To this end, we will bring together a wide range of participants from
various sectors, both from Portugal and abroad, to engage in meaningful
and thought-provoking discussions about what media literacy can and
should be today and in the future.
We invite our partners to join this gathering by submitting proposals
for oral communications and/or posters, contributing to the richness of
the event. Submissions may include academic studies, pedagogical
practices, community initiatives, and innovative projects. A variety of
approaches is welcome and encouraged!
The submission form for the *Call for Papers* is available at this link
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScWrurZ8_-LouYihvDvnJ07PFLaAv14fz2-tw3ioIqhh9jfaA/viewform>.

We also encourage you to share the Congress and the Call for Papers
through your networks and distribution channels. We hope the Congress
will reflect the diversity of voices and perspectives that make up our
community.
