The conferencewill be held at the University of Toulouse(France) from
November 26 to 28, 2025.
Further details :
The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) marks a major turning point
in the history of journalism and digital platforms. [...] This
conference aims to bring together researchers to discuss issues related
to the intersection of journalism, platforms, and AI. The objective is
to critically analyze the opportunities and risks associated with this
digital transformation, explore alternative models, and propose avenues
for the future of information.
Emerging or exploratory research and theoretical contributions are
welcome. The conference will be held mainly in French, but proposals in
English are also welcome.
Topics may include :
*Journalistic Autonomy and Platform Dependence: analyzing the challenges
posed by media dependence on AI infrastructures and tools developed by
tech giants.
*Generative AI and Journalistic Ethics: examining the impact of
generative AI on fundamental principles of journalism, such as
fact-checking, objectivity, and accountability.
*Transformation of Journalism: exploring changes that AI is bringing
about in the professional practices of journalists.
*Combating Disinformation and Information Manipulation: analyzing the
role of AI in battling disinformation and spreading it.
*Governance of AI in the Media: examining the legal, ethical, and
political frameworks necessary to ensure the responsible development of
AI in the media sector.
*AI in the Media: analyzing the growing media coverage of AI.
*AI, Journalism, and Environmental Issues: studying the relationship
between journalism, AI, and the environment.
Abstracts should be submitted before July 1st at

Submissions must include : first name(s) and last name(s), status and
organization, title of the proposal, summary comprising between 3000 and
4000 characters including spaces (bibliographic elements not included).
