*Continuum Editor:  Expressions of Interest*

/Continuum: Journal of Media and Cultural Studies/ welcomes applications 
for the role of an Editor. The successful applicant will hold the role 
for a two-year term, with the option for renewal.

The Editor role will be part of our /Continuum/ team. It includes 
evaluating submitted manuscripts for quality of argument and writing, 
managing the double-blind peer review process through the Manuscript 
Central/ScholarOne editorial interface, liaising with authors, reviewers 
and editorial staff, and meeting internal deadlines.

Essential

  * PhD awarded in relevant field
  * Research aligned with Media and Cultural Studies
  * Experience of reviewing and writing for journals
  * The capacity to devote time each week to the role, and to attend
    regular editorial meetings.
  * A strong commitment to ethical rigour and academic integrity
  * A commitment to engaging promptly and efficiently.
  * An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  * Previous experience as a guest issue editor (with /Continuum/ or
    comparable journal)
  * An enthusiasm for the continuous development of the journal

Desirable

  * Has published with /Continuum/
  * Has peer reviewed for /Continuum/
  * Connected with relevant networks/associations
  * Previous experience in conference organisation
