[Commlist] New post: Lecturer in VFX and CGI – De Montfort University

The Leicester Media School at De Montfort University is currently 
recruiting for a full-time lecturer in Visual Effects and CGI.

*Salary:
	£35,326 to £38,587 Grade F

*

Candidates must have working knowledge of a range of post-production 
techniques, including motion graphics, motion capture compositing and 
rendering using AfterEffects, Nuke and Maya. Applications are especially 
encouraged from candidates with experience of 3D set design, 
architecture and environment builds or 3D animation in Unreal or Unity 
engines.

Ideally the candidate would be able to demonstrate:

  * Advanced compositing with Nuke
  * Interest/Experience in Compositing 3D with Video/Digital Film
  * Industry Experience / Teaching Experience
  * Curriculum Development Experience
  * An interest in Virtual Production / VR

The role is on a full time (37 hours per week), permanent basis.

You ideally hold a doctoral degree in media (or a related discipline) or 
exhibit substantial practice-based experience, with the potential to 
become a future academic leader. You will focus on establishing an 
academic profile through participation in appropriate teaching and 
learning activities, as well as further developing your research profile 
or practice.
