Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies***


Led by Cardiff University, media.cymru brings together 23 media 
production, broadcast, technology, university and local leadership 
partners for the first time. The £50m programme is funded through UKRI’s 
flagship Strength in Places Fund, Cardiff Capital Region, Creative 
Wales, industry and university partners.

The ground-breaking media.cymru programme will supercharge Cardiff 
Capital Region’s thriving media sector and develop a global hub for 
media innovation.

This role holder will conduct research and provide support for a series 
of reports and publications, focussing on innovation, media clusters and 
the South Wales media cluster. This post will be responsible for scoping 
relevant literature, policy, and stakeholder reports, conducting 
research with the media.cymru team, and contributing to the production 
of research reports and other publications. The applicant will need to 
work at pace and to a series of tight deadlines.

Particular focal points will include identifying strategic knowledge 
gaps and priorities, and a strong commitment to developing knowledge 
through engagement with industry and creative industries stakeholders.


This post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term to 31 December 
2026

*Salary:* £34,304 - £40,927 per annum (Grade 6)
