You are now being invited to join Coventry University’s Faculty of Arts 
and Humanities - a vibrant international community of scholars,

the creative arts - at a particularly exciting time.  The Faculty has 
always championed collaborative working and provided access to 
leading-edge resources. In 2022 it will do so from an impressive new 
immersive arts building that will push the boundaries of how we create 
and innovate across a range of exciting disciplines.

Within this Faculty, the School of Media and Performing Arts is an 
award-winning, industry-led, creative hub that offers undergraduate and 
postgraduate courses in film, photography and media production, music 
and acting, journalism and communication, digital and immersive media.

We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and adaptable specialist in film 
and media production to deliver teaching, learning and assessment on our 
B and BA Film Production and BA Media Production courses. You will be 
practice-based, passionate about education and employability and 
committed to developing industry-focused opportunities that enhance the 
student experience.

Successful candidates will undertake teaching, assessment and delivery 
on our BA Film Production  and BA Media Production courses. On our 
courses, theory and practice inform each other, focusing on practices 
and topics such as contemporary modes of production across the media 
industries; film, TV and music video production. In addition, applicants 
should have capabilities in camera work, location filming and or 
utilising web/mobile/networked and social media platforms for online 
marketing purposes.

Applicants will have a significant track record of high-profile industry 
experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside 
degree-level qualifications and subject knowledge or a PhD.

Candidates without a teaching qualification will be required to 
undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship. They 
must have a proven track record of delivering a first-class student 
experience within a higher education environment.
