We are now inviting applications for a tenure track position in digital
communication within the subject area of communication studies. For the
successful applicant this position offers an excellent opportunity to
build a multifaceted academic career in a dynamic and international
environment.
Job description and requirements
The research focus associated with this position is on digital agency
and digitalization in the broad sense. The expected areas of interest
ideally include, but are not limited to, the following:
social media and platform economy
usability and user experience
data visualization and datafication
digitalization from the perspectives of individuals, society,
community, culture and/or economy.
In addition, publications in the fields of user-centered design,
sustainability, and business research are considered as merits.
The Tenure Track position is research-orientated, but the appointed
person will also acquire external funding, deliver high-quality teaching
and theses supervision, actively participate in activities within the
scientific community and university administration, as well as create
societal impact through their work. The duties in teaching and
supervision are related to the study programmes in communication
studies. The scope of responsibilities is determined according to the
career stage of the successful candidate and agreed in more detail in
the annual work plan.
We are looking for candidates with a suitable doctoral degree (PhD)
together with, excellent academic merit as well as evidence of the
ability to produce high quality research. The ideal candidate will have
a strong track record of, or potential for, excellence in teaching.
Applicants will also be evaluated on the basis of relevance and
innovativeness of their preliminary research plan. Please see the

the research will be undertaken as a part of the multidisciplinary

Further information
The position will be filled fixed-term primarily as Assistant or
Associate Professor under the tenure track system. Applicants for a
permanent position of Professor may also be considered. The level of
appointment depends on the merits and career stage of the applicant.
