We are seeking to appoint a high calibre, creatively minded animation film maker and / or animation director with an excellent understanding of animation across a range of technologies, contexts and applications.

You will join our established animation teaching team who provide a distinctive education with a focus on creative, original and industry standard animated film making.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the principles of animated film making across a wide range of genres with a proven ability to support this in teaching with the knowledge and versatility to teach across the main processes of animation.

The role requires an understanding of delivering and developing innovative learning and teaching strategies at degree level, together with skills in team-working and organisation and a commitment to enhancing the student experience and promoting student employability.

The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching at HE level with the ability to teach across all three years of the course and knowledge and experience of assessment and feedback.

This is a teaching post in which you will bring a contemporary knowledge of animation into the curriculum on both undergraduate and postgraduate course, as well as making contributions to the research of the School.

You will have significant experience of personal and / or commercial film making. You’ll be confident with key animation software.

You will hold a relevant honours degree and postgraduate qualification, and the successful applicant may already hold Fellowship of the HEA, a research degree or a teaching qualification. Your CV will reflect your film making status.
