[ecrea] Call for Contributions: Assessing Literacy Skills in a Digital World
Sat Jul 08 18:45:24 GMT 2017
The next Training School (TS) of the COST-funded European Literacy
Network (ELN) will have a focus on assessing literacy skills in a
digital world. Registration is free and there are travel grants available.
- Deadline: 15th of July.
- Dates of the TS: 4th-6th of Sept 2017.
- Venue: Disruptive Media Learning Lab, Coventry University, UK.
The three-day TS will include a variety of presentations, round-table
discussions, poster exhibitions and workshops aiming to both share
expertise and envision new ways of understanding and capturing students’
digital fluency. Participants will have the opportunity to present their
work and collaborate with peers.
The TS is aimed at researchers, educators, postdocs and PhD students
based in EU countries, from any discipline or area of study, whose work
is relevant to the topic. Applications from strong graduate students may
be considered too.
Due to the highly interactive format of the event, only 20 applicants
will be selected to participate. A number of grants (up to €600 each) to
support travel and accommodation expenses are available.
Professor Julian McDougall (Bournemouth University, UK), Dr Maria José
Brites (Lusophone University of Porto and University of Minho, Portugal)
and Dr Igor Kanižaj (University of Zagreb, Croatia) are some of the
experts who will participate as guest speakers.
