Wed Nov 30 17:24:34 GMT 2016

New book (in Spanish): "Digital Temporalities. Analysis of time in new media and interactive narratives" UOC-Press Comunicación.

Abstract:

This book is a theoretical approach to the study of time in interactive audiovisual works, a subject being continuously transformed due to the constant advance of information and communication technologies. It is now relevant to study time as the digital media are generating multiple temporal configurations strongly conditioned by new digital interfaces, mobile devices and networks. These temporal configurations are identified and analysed in the book through cybertext works, interactive web narratives, digital artworks and videogames. The present book is aimed at establishing a new analysis’ framework for all those interactive audiovisual temporalities from two perspectives: first, from a narrative organisation, their uses and temporal processing; and second, their experience and perception.
