The complex relationships between emotion, ethics, and cinematic
experience provides the focus for this invited interdisciplinary
workshop, the second ‘Cinematic Ethics’ symposium at Macquarie
University, organised by Dr Robert Sinnerbrink as part of his ARC Future
Fellowship project, ‘Cinematic Ethics: Exploring Ethical Experience
through Film’ (FT 130100334). It brings together national and
international researchers working on film from different disciplines,
traditions, and theoretical perspectives. Particular attention will be
given to developing the dialogue between phenomenological and
cognitivist approaches to theorising emotion, ethics, and aesthetics in
cinematic experience.
All welcome but please email (robert.sinnerbrink /at/ mq.edu.au)
