[ecrea] Call for articles - Special issue - European Union - e-Communicating & Networking

*CALL FOR ARTICLES*: The special issue ("European Union - e-Communicating & Networking") of */Styles of Communication/* aims to present a broad variety of approaches to the ways in which the European Union has (or has not) succeeded in initiating and/or maintaining an online dialogue with European citizens, or to the ways in which EU issues have been framed in the online national press.

Articles may include, but are not restricted to:

  * from traditional to online strategies and tactics of communication
    of the EU;
  * online communication tools and strategies of EU citizens' empowerment;
  * EU online platforms as communicative spaces;
  * e-communicating European policies;
  * online media framing of EU issues;
  * online representations of the Members of the European Parliament;
* public opinion in the EU (insights into Eurobarometers, Eurostats etc.);
  * EU crises (Brexit, refugee crisis).

*SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES*
Please send your article to *(stylesofcomm /at/ fjsc.ro)* <mailto:(stylesofcomm /at/ fjsc.ro)>*by February 15, 2017. *Article proposals should include the following elements: title of the article, author’s name/authors’ names, author’s institution affiliation, address and e-mail contact; abstract (150 words), keywords, the purpose of the research, design /methodology/approach, (expected) findings, (possible) practical implications, originality/value, references (use the APAstyle). The articles should have between 5000 and 7000 words of text, including titles, abstracts, keywords and references.

  * Closing date for submission of articles: *February 15, 2017*
  * Peer-review results returned: *April 2, 2017*
  * Revised article submission:*May 1, 2017*
  * Online publication of the article: *May 20, 2017*
