Salary: £46,510 – £53,918
As part of a team, you will provide research leadership and undergraduate
and postgraduate teaching in the Department of Media. This post reflects
both the growth in the research profile in media and cultural studies, in
undergraduate recruitment to media programmes, and the further
development of postgraduate provision. You will have a research
leadership role in media and cultural studies and teach into the
Department’s programmes.
Applications are invited from high quality academic researchers in any
area of media and cultural studies who wish to develop their experience
of research leadership and who are keen to work as part of a team to
coordinate, build, and advance the work of colleagues to further expand
research, enterprise and knowledge transfer in the Department of Media.
The successful candidate will work with the Head of Department and the
Professor of Media in leading the media submission for the next Research
Excellence Framework (REF) and will also actively support the development
of the Department’s research-driven excellence in all aspects of its
academic and pedagogic activity. The aim of the Department of Media is to
build and develop its standing in all measures of research performance to
achieve a high ranking in the REF 2013 and beyond.
