[eccr] Call for Commentaries - IJ Media and Cultural Politics

Mon Jun 13 13:49:20 GMT 2005

Call for submission of Commentaries
Carolyn M. Byerly Howard University
The Commentaries within the International Journal of Media and Cultural
Politics will be published to provoke thought and debate about the politics
of media and cultural issues within and across nations. We also welcome
responses to previously published commentaries and articles in order to
engage in a dialogue. This first issue kicks off with a collection of essays by
scholars from around the world laying out their thinking about a range of
issues related to media and cultural politics. In subsequent issues, pieces
will be published in a specific Commentaries section and will pick up on
many of these themes, as well as other emerging concerns.
We welcome submissions from scholars in the academy and elsewhere,
as well as activists and others who approach their subject from an
informed perspective. Length of manuscripts should be about 1500 words,
and while slightly longer ones will be considered, the editor may suggest
shortening. Please send commentary manuscripts electronically (as a
Word attachment) to Dr Carolyn M. Byerly, (cbyerly /at/ dsdial.net). (Note:
Submissions will be subjected to review and feedback by the editors of the
journal before acceptance.)
