[Commlist] Cecile Parrish Memorial Scholarships for PhD studies (x2) - Monash University

Monash University in Melbourne is again offering the Cecile 
Parrish Memorial Scholarships for Research Excellence to support 
full-time, 3.5-year PhD projects in any area of English Literary Studies 
(including literatures in English).

Please note that book history / print culture studies / literary 
sociology / digital literature are, inter alia, specific research foci 
in Monash's School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics.  
Three of the target areas mentioned in the Position Description are:

  * *Contemporary literature and cultural industries*
  * *Literary theory*
  * *Digital literary studies*

'The successful candidate will have a background in the discipline of 
Literary Studies or Creative Writing and be of outstanding merit. In its 
assessment, the selection committee will prioritise applicants who hold 
an Australian (or equivalent international) Honours or Masters degree in 
a relevant field, with a significant research component and with 
first-class Honours/H1 awarded.'
