a part-time (0.3), fixed-term basis (December - June), to work with me
on a Leverhulme Fellowship examining the cultural concept of consent
(‘Managing Expectations: Reassessing the Promise of Consent’

candidates with expertise in a humanity and/or social science, and/or a
particular interest cultural and/or gender studies, and an interest in
subjects of the project.

*Summary: *
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the
School of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths,
University of London, on the Leverhulme Fellowship ‘Managing
Expectations: Reassessing the Promise of Consent’. A description of the
project can be found on Goldsmiths Research Online. The role represents
an outstanding opportunity to contribute to cutting edge research on the
cultural context of consent and to deepen our understanding of the
critical role of consent as a cultural concept. The successful candidate
will work across different disciplinary, discursive, institutional and
affective registers, to develop research pathways, cultural resources,
and case study material for the project.
*Main duties: *The role of Research Assistant involves a range of
academic duties, including:
• Collecting and organising media examples using various platforms and
software
• Reviewing the content of published research (literature review)
• Examining the discursive impact of key ideas across disciplines
(literature review)
• Undertaking administrative tasks related to events, publication or
other academic activities
