[Commlist] Funded PhD on Photography and British India, c.1941-47

The School of Journalism, Media & Culture at Cardiff University (UK) is 
excited to announce a new funded PhD opportunity in photographic history.

‘*War, Photography & Empire: Visual Propaganda and British India, 
c.1941-47*’ is supported by the Arts & Humanities Research Council via 
the South, West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership:

The project will be supervised in collaboration with Imperial War 
Museums and the Department of Archaeology & History at the University of 
Exeter.

The deadline for applications is _20 January 2025_. The successful 
applicant will begin the project in October 2025.
