The School of Cultural Studies and Humanities is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Media to contribute to the development and delivery of its undergraduate and postgraduate courses and the supervision of research students in this disciplinary field.

Research active colleagues with specialisms in social and digital media, television and film would add value to our team, although we are open to interests in a range of media, cultural studies and communication. Candidates who can use their skills to develop and extend digital learning opportunities for students are welcome.

We seek a colleague who can contribute to strengthening graduate outcomes particularly in relation to employability. Applicants who have or can forge partnerships with the media industries, in for example marketing/ gaming/ digital marketing are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be able to demonstrate either a proven track record in research and publication activity or the capacity to develop such a track record and experience of university teaching, curriculum development and/ or show the willingness/ capacity to develop in these areas. An ability and willingness to work collegially across disciplinary boundaries is also essential for this post.
