[Commlist] University of Georgia Journalism PhD student applications welcome

The faculty of the Department of Journalism at the University of Georgia 
are now accepting applications for their college’s Ph.D. program, which 
offers a variety of courses and research opportunities in journalism and 
related fields.

As doctoral students, you will engage and work with faculty members 
whose academic and professional experience informs their 
interdisciplinary research addressing large social issues, bridging the 
gap between theory and practice.

We welcome emerging scholars who are interested in all manner of 
methodological and theoretical approaches.
Here, you will find faculty mentors and collaborators in the areas of:

• international and cross-cultural communication
• media psychology
• media history
• media law and policy
• media management
• media trust and credibility newsroom sociology sports media
• visual communication
