Our vision at the De Montfort University (DMU) Doctoral College is one of developing the applied academics of the future. We are keen to welcome new students to our growing cohort of research students across the university, from fashion and design to pharmaceuticals, through to robotics and cyber security to art and architecture, and much more besides. We also offer a vibrant practice-based environment, whereby conceptualisation and active engagement are seen as both contributing towards the development of a chosen field.

At DMU, we are committed to research that can also benefit society, and our newly launched research strategy targets inter-disciplinary research in the areas of urban living, lifelong well-being, creativity in the digital age and social value.

Doctoral College is delighted to announce applications are now open for a DMU Full Bursary Scholarship.

Prospective PhD students are invited to apply for a Full Bursary Scholarship (covers Home/EU fees and stipend of £14,296) starting in April 2019.

De Montfort University offers an exceptional research environment and is hosts to a supportive community that connects supervisors, graduate researchers and Doctoral College support staff across all four of the University’s faculties. It provides access to key training opportunities and supports students to follow their vision and beyond to achieve their career ambitions.

Applicants are to submit an application through the admissions portal, information on the documents required for an application to be processed can be found here.

The deadline for applications is the 14 February 2019

Following a review of the application by the Faculty, the potential supervisor is required to submit a Faculty Decision Form and Full Bursary Scholarship Application Form by the 28 February 2019 in order for the application to be considered.
