FACULTY POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT



Theopen at the ranks of Assistant, Associate and Full Professor in the 
following areas:



PUBLIC RELATIONS & ADVERTISING

MEDIA PRODUCTION

CONTEMPORARY ART & CURATORIAL PRACTICES

DIGITAL CULTURE & MULTIMEDIA DESIGN

FINE ARTS



Faculty duties for all positions will include independent and 
collaborative research and practice; teaching at the graduate and 
undergraduate levels; and supervision of student research.

Successful candidates will be expected to maintaingiven to candidates 
with a demonstrated research program capable of attracting external 
funding. Meaningful professional experience in the field is particularly 
desirable.

Candidates will be evaluated according to theof commitment to teaching; 
and strength of recommendations. The academic ranking for each 
successful candidate will be commensurate with his/her prior academic 
experience.



FIELD-SPECIFIC INDICATIONS

Public Applicants must hold a PhD in Mass Communication or a closely 
related field by the date of appointment. Preference will be given to 
candidates with teaching experience in professionally oriented courses 
such as strategic communication campaigns, case studies, international 
public relations, and professional writing for strategic communication.

Media Production: Applicants must hold a PhD, or equivalent terminal 
degree in Film, Media Arts, or a related field by the date of 
appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and 
practical experience in production areas such as studio television, 
video and post-production, visual effects, animation, photography, and 
multimedia.

Contemporary Art & Curatorial Practices: Applicants must hold a PhD in 
Art, Design, or a related field by the date of appointment. Preference 
will be given to candidates with professional curatorial experience and 
prior experience teaching courses in media arts, visual culture, 
contemporary art and design, and similar fields.

Digital Culture & Multimedia Design: Applicants must hold a PhD in Media 
Design, Computer Engineering, Media Arts, or a related field by the date 
of appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with professional 
and prior teaching experience in digital cultures, human/computer 
interaction, multimedia design, user centered design, user experience 
(UX) design, and similar fields.

Fine Arts: Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent terminal degree by 
the date of appointment in any area of fine arts, including but not 
limited to sculpture, painting, drawing, ceramics, and new media art. 
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience in 
these areas as well as general courses in art history.
