Salary range: £32,590 to £45,053

We seek to appoint a Lecturer in Sound and Image able to make meaningful connections to contemporary art disciplines in LICA (art, dance, design, film or theatre). We are interested in applications from candidates exploring innovative relationship between sound and image. You will contribute to the LICA’s strategy to develop sound as a key component of its research and teaching portfolio. The ability to demonstrate connections to one or more of our existing areas of activity (art, dance, design, film or theatre) is essential.

You will be expected to teach a range of students within LICA (from art, dance, design, film or theatre disciplines); pursue 3* or higher level research; and develop collaborative research networks both within, and beyond the University. We wish to encourage a wide and diverse range of applications, and are open to broad interpretations of the role in question. Experience of working on research projects and clear potential to attract research funding will be an advantage. RAE2008 placed our research in the UK’s top 3 with 80% of our research classed as world (4*) or internationally (3*) leading.
