[ecrea] Fellowship opportunity - Rock and Popular Music Institute

The Rock and Popular Music Institute atCase Western Reserve University, in
partnership with the Rock andRoll Hall of Fame and Museum and Cuyahoga
Community College,announces the availability of research fellowships to
support use ofthe resources of the Rock Hall’s Library and Archives.
Fellowships will be in the amount of$1500 for a one-week research trip
or $2500 for two weeks. Applicants should send a CV or résumé, a
statement of researchplans as they relate to the holdings of the Library
and Archives, andproposed dates of residence to (rock /at/ case.edu).
The holdings of the Library andArchives include:
The Ahmet ErtegunCollection — 58 linear feet of materials spanning the
years 1930 to2006.
The Seymour SteinCollection — recordings and files relating to Sire
Records, 1965 to1993.
The Mo OstinCollection — documents and artist files relating to Warner
Brothersand Reprise Records, 1961 to 1990.
The Clive DavisPapers — correspondence with artists and executives,
1963-2001.
The Alan FreedCollection — documentation of Freed’s career as a disc
jockey,television and film personality, and promoter, including
financialand court documents relating to the commercial bribery case
People v.Freed.
The Jerry WexlerCorrespondence — letters sent to Wexler by artists and
executives,mostly in connection with his 1993 memoir.
The Milt GablerCollection — documents from 1928 to 2006, primarily
relating toGabler’s career with Commodore Records and Decca Records.
The Michael OchsCollection — 48 linear feet of artist files, press
kits,interviews, etc., 1948-1994.
Other notablecollections relate to Rick Nelson, Atlantic Records, Art
Collins,Bomp Records, Eddie Cochran, Fame Studios, Ben Fong-Torres,
AlanLight, Robert Christgau, Soul Asylum, Hal Blaine, Scotty Moore,
andmany other people and institutions.
The Library and Archives is a22,500-square-foot facility located on the
campus of CuyahogaCommunity College, at 2809 Woodland Avenue in downtown
