Faculty Position in the School of Communication, Ariel University Center

 

    The School of Communication at the Ariel University Center, Israel, invites applications from researchers possessing a doctorate from the academic year for 2011-12. We are searching for a candidate both able to teach at a high academic level and with proven research ability.  We will consider candidates in all research areas, but have a preference for candidates in the following areas: Advertising & Public Relations; Popular Television; New Media; Media Effects; Economics and the Media. The School is prepared to receive applications from suitable candidates. Rank is open (Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Full Professor).

   Six hundred students study in the School of Communication for the first degree.  There are presently five professional tracks: Written Newspaper Journalism; Radio; Cinema & Television; Strategic Communication (Advertising & Public Relations); & Digital Media.  The School is equipped with a television studio including editing facilities, radio studios and radio station, and Internet laboratories. The Ariel University Centre encourages its faculty to engage in academic research. Research is an important criterion for academic promotion. Therefore, we are researching for a candidate who is both a good teacher and one possessing proven research record.
