[Commlist] 12th International Conference on Multimodality, #12ICOM

The 12th International Conference on Multimodality, #12ICOM, will take 
place on 29-31 October at the Center for Language and Cognition and 
Jantina Tammes School of Digital Society, Technology, and AI (Groningen, 
the Netherlands), featuring 11 workshop sessions, 20+ posters, and 200 
paper presentations.

This year’s theme is “The Multimodal Multiverse.” The field of 
multimodality is diverse and
colourful, with plenty of research methods, approaches, and topics. All 
share a common interest: meaning and its creation in communicative 
situations. In Groningen, we want to acknowledge this unity in 
diversity. We aim to establish common ground, foster interdisciplinary 
connections, and encourage collaborations through networking events.
