recruiting to the post of Lecturer in Games, Animation and Digital Media.

In summary, the successful candidate for the post will:

  * Undertake a full range of academic duties including teaching,
    scholarly activity and research.
  * Contribute to, deliver and promote high-quality research-led teaching.
  * Support the School to deliver fair outcomes for students.

The postholder will:

  * Teach as a member of a teaching team.
  * Teach in a variety of settings.
  * Be student-focused and make teaching contributions in the areas of
    Games and Digital Media.
  * Be an expert in Creative Technologies and Games practice, with
    in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following: 3D modelling and
    animation, game design and development, design in VR, CGI, SFX and VFX.
  * Be an expert in the following skills: lighting, presentation in
    Marmoset Toolbag, 3D animation for games (Maya and Unreal);
    expertise in Maya, software plugins; have working knowledge of 3D
    modelling (Maya), 3D sculpting (ZBrush), UV mapping (Maya),
    texturing (Substance 3D Painter), rigging models (Maya), knowledge
    of games engines particularly Unreal Engine, understanding relevant
    industries.
  * Teach on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in games,
    modelling, animation and digital media.
