support the project, PSM-AP: Public Service Media in the Age of
Platforms, funded by CHANSE/UKRI Digital Transformations: Social and
Cultural Dynamics in the Digital Age programme:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research
administrator to join an international team on a highly ambitious
collaborative project.
This is a 0.5FTE, three-year (36 month) fixed-term post that begins on 1
November 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The University of Huddersfield is committed to diversity and encourages
all qualified applicants to apply, regardless of their background.
PSM-AP is a complex, collaborative project with a team of 9 researchers
based across 6 countries that asks how the cultural and social values of
public service media (PSM) are being transformed in the age of platforms
and what factors are propelling or inhibiting change in different
national contexts. The project is being led by Professor Catherine
Johnson at the University of Huddersfield. The appointed research
administrator would support Professor Johnson in the running of the
project and other relevant research activities. This will include
working with the project lead to set up and devise administrative
processes to support the collaborative working of the distributed team
of researchers and assisting the project lead in managing the project
budget, ensuring compliance with the terms of the research funding,
organising events and project meetings, developing and maintaining
relevant databases, and supporting knowledge exchange activities.
The project involves four Work Packages, each led by a Principal
Investigator based in the UK, Belgium, Poland or Denmark. Post-doctoral
researchers based in the UK, Denmark, Belgium, Italy and Poland will
work collaboratively together and with the PIs to gather and compare
data related to each work package. The project will be supported by an
international advisory board and includes multiple stakeholder
engagement and knowledge exchange activities, including two workshops
and a final conference. The role would suit an experienced administrator
with the initiative to set up and manage administrative processes
suitable for this kind of collaborative, distributed project.
