/The Wiley Handbook of Collaborative Online Learning and Global Engagement/ is a resource book on the globally connected courses by Global Liberal Arts Alliance (GLAA), an international partnership of colleges and universities advancing liberal arts education within the contexts of its member institutions, and a part of Wiley Handbooks in Education series.

The various research articles are based on connected course that different professors from across the world co-taught online via Webex, zoom or other technology. The connection of courses on various media topics including e.g. dance, peace journalism etc. required and inspired students to work on issues in each other's national context. The courses helped students explore their personal and social responsibility to understand global challenges and recognize that their perspectives and experiences could inform each other in addressing global challenges in local contexts. Students worked on joint newswriting and recording, documentaries and research paper assignments in groups. Students sometimes had access to resource materials and networks of the partner universities e.g. Pakistani and Nigerian students utilized each other’s resources through Forman Christian College Pakistan, American University in Nigeria, Global Peace Journalism Network and Dart Center during the period. It tremendously upgraded their learning experiences and the quality of the courses.

*Willey Blackwell has published a number of articles on the globally connected courses in this handbook in the education series*. The book is timeliest in view of the worldwide significance of online education since the appearance of Covid-19. In addition, it points to the significance of collaborative learning between the local and international universities. The citation and abstract of the article and the description of the book are provided below:
