[Commlist] Data for Policy 2022 Inclusion Scholarships

Fri Sep 02 15:00:58 GMT 2022

Data for Policy <https://dataforpolicy.org/> is the annual conference and premier global forum for interdisciplinary and cross-sector discussions around the impact and potentials of the digital revolution in the government sector. DfP is delighted to announce that this year it will award inclusion scholarships which cover 90% of the 2022 conference registration fee. These scholarships will allow recipients to attend their regional conference (Hong Kong/Brussels/Seattle) in-person. /Exceptional candidates may be awarded additional travel support/.

Inclusion scholarships are part of Data for Policy’s commitment to support participation from communities underrepresented in our activities due to financial reasons. This year, our fund for scholarships is increased thanks to a valuable investment from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation <https://dataforpolicy.org/data-for-policy-2022-inclusion-scholarships-open-to-applicants/>.

Scholarship awards are based on the level of financial need, and the appropriateness of the opportunity afforded to the applicant. To be eligible, applicants must have no other source of funding to meet the cost of registration, and be based in a low or middle income country.

To apply for an inclusion scholarship to attend one region of Data for Policy 2022 in person, please send your CV and a detailed cover letter to (team /at/ dataforpolicy.org) <mailto:(team /at/ dataforpolicy.org)>, including the following information:

  * Eligibility for the award
  * Relevance of current position to the conference
  * Evidence of activity in a wider community/network relevant to the
    conference
  * Benefits gained from the conference for the individual and their
    community/network

Please note that applications that do not contain the requested information may not be assessed.*
