The Creative Economy Unit in the Cardiff School of Journalism, Media and 
Culture at Cardiff University is seeking to appoint a fixed term 
Research Associate to conduct research and provide support to a funding 
proposal, due in November 2020, focussing on the development of the 
creative industries and the South Wales media cluster.

This post will be responsible for writing reviews and reports that 
establish an existing knowledge base on methodologies designed to 
stimulate R&D in the creative economy; scoping relevant literature, 
policy, and stakeholder reports; and undertaking ad hoc desk research 
and producing other outputs to be used in the funding application.

The applicant will need to work at pace and to a series of tight 
deadlines. Particular focal points will include identifying strategic 
knowledge gaps and priorities, and a strong commitment to developing 
knowledge through engagement with industry and creative industries 
stakeholders.

We will be looking for someone who can start work within a week of 
appointment.This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed-term 
until 30 November 2020.*
